Adsorption is the adhesion of atoms, ions or molecules from a gas, liquid or dissolved solid to a surface.

Thanks to this phenomenon, we use Adsorbents, materials that help us to remove many contaminants that are present in gases and liquids.

The use of adsorbents is very old. Clays were already used in antiquity as drying and bleaching agent, Sand was applied for water desalination, and Activated Carbon was employed for the first purification of sugar.

Currently, we have many types of different special adsorbents that help us to purify our gas and liquid streams by removing almost all types of contaminants.
